About the PCA
Our Vision
We focus on the celebration of Punjabi culture, which includes the customs, traditions, language, music, and art of the Punjabi people. The Punjabi people originate from the Punjab region, which spans across India and Pakistan, and have a rich cultural heritage that has been influenced by various religions, including Sikhism and Hinduism.
Our Events
Through a variety of engaging events and activities, we strive to keep the Punjabi culture alive and thriving. From traditional dance performances to mouth-watering culinary experiences, our gatherings offer a dynamic blend of entertainment and education. By creating a welcoming space for dialogue and celebration, we aim to inspire a new generation to embrace their roots and carry forward the legacy of our ancestors.
Our Aim
At the Punjabi Cultural Association, we are dedicated to more than just celebrating our rich heritage; we actively engage in supporting the Punjabi youth of Calgary. Through a variety of initiatives and collaborations, we provide essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities aimed at empowering and uplifting young Punjabis. Our commitment extends beyond cultural preservation to actively addressing the unique challenges faced by these youths. As staunch advocates for our community, we have raised important issues affecting students, including a notable presentation on Red FM, where we amplified their voices and pushed for significant change. By harnessing the power of our platform, we are committed to fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all Punjabi youth.
